The 78 summits of the Hășmaș Mountains
The Hășmaș Mountains runs through Romania, and this is all of it: 78 catalogued summits, from Hășmașu Mare at 1 792 m down to Vf. Siloș at 1 078 m — 714 m between the first and the last, spread over roughly 45 km around 46.7° N, 25.8° E.
A range this size is climbed in two tiers. The main ridge is the first 20 — the summits within a sixth of the highest, and the goal wayly puts in front of you first. The whole range counts only once every one of the 78 is walked over.
The list is not hand-typed. wayly resolves it from the range itself against its summit catalogue — foothills under 60% of the highest left out, one summit mapped twice kept once — so it follows the mountains rather than someone's memory. And it fills itself in: a summit counts when a walk you recorded takes you over the top of it, not when you remember to tick a box.
